The music, the community and the artists. We have both been long time fans, and have always admired what WAKAAN was doing for both the artists and the fans. – Chloe / Emily

What are your professional ambitions? Where do you think you can take Wakaan in the next 5-10 years?

To provide a safe and welcoming community for everyone. We are striving to be better as a label, a brand, and as a community, which goes for the employees and artists of the label as well. We have high hopes for the future of WAKAAN – we want to be diverse in our roster and our employees giving fans the community they deserve. – Chloe / Emily

What are you doing to support women in bass music, or more generally dance music?

We are signing more women producers. We have hired more women on our team and we are making it a point to diversify the label as a whole. – Chloe / Emily

What would you say to young women aspiring to get to where you are one day?

Always take on new opportunities to learn, grow, connect and be the best possible version yourself, in your work and personally. Be a good person, do an above and beyond good job, and stay true to yourself! – Chloe / Emily
