Trainspotting with Sunana

With a combined experience of 25 years as performers and producers, SUNANA has appeared at hundreds of venues across the world. They have positioned alongside many of today’s most prominent brands including Pacha, Glastonbury Festival, and Wembley Arena, Back To Mine At Pikes Ibiza and most recently Ministry of Sound for Select Radio’s Radio Warriors Summer Closing Party.

Landing on pivotal labels including Sony Music and Black Lizard has seen the brand continue to grow. Evolving from an initial DJ duo into a Beatport Top 10 Chart topping act. Their music regularly appears on Spotify playlists including New Music Friday Dance, Operator and Fresh Finds whilst their weekly show on Select Radio (London and UK’s number 1 dance music station) further highlights their meteoric mark they are making on the scene.

 Next up, SUNANA dives into the world of Afro House through their latest release, “Little Bird.” This captivating number entices listeners with its inviting chords, infectious rhythm, and absorbing vocals. Basax really brought the fire with this one – the saxophone like you’ve never heard it before. The lyrics are about how important it is to be true to yourself – don’t feed the fears! This was one of our first releases on our label The Vibe Arrived and went straight to no.2 on Traxsource which was awesome.

We have been obsessed with this track since first hearing it back in 2019 –  it is so euphoric and Adam Clay’s voice always adds magic to any tune.

Literally, our dream collaboration! James Hype and Major Lazer are two of our all time favourite artists and this track has everything that we love about them – energy, attitude and raw power.

When we first met in London, we were both playing lots of Afro House and this was one of the tunes that we discovered together so it’s extra special to us.

Mi Casa are fantastic musicians and their tunes are always meaningful, uplifting and their vocals are like velvet.

If we had to pick a music producer as our idol, Black Caviar would be that idol! We were so excited to an official remix for them back in 2021. This track, with another of our faves, Rion S, AND remixed by the legend MistaJam, is so vibey and we love the meaning of the lyrics.

Shout out to our fellow duo Shermanology – we first heard them back in 2012 when they did “Can’t Stop Me” with Afrojack and they just release tune after tune! This one is so sassy and the synth is officially a killa!

This is an absolute classic from 1997 – we listened to it on loop in the 00s and we still play it almost every week in our sets! It just doesn’t age at all and always makes us smile.

One of our favourite remixes (and most played) remixes of all time! They way that Nina Simone’s voice soars above that groovy Tech House beat is just genius.
