You get to dance under the midnight sun

The Secret Solstice Festival has been built around one concept – the midnight sun. But what exactly is the midnight sun? Allow us to elaborate further. In the middle of the summer in Iceland, the sun actually never sets. This can be accredited to some astronomical wonders because Iceland itself is actually really close to the Arctic Circle. Therefore, during the Secret Solstice Festival weekend, the sun will never actually set. The darkest the sky will actually get is when the clock strikes midnight as the sun makes contact with the horizon before rising again – this means three whole days of daylight! You have to be there to experience it, the views are simply immense.

Party with your favourite DJs in the oldest nature bath in Iceland

We’ve all experienced pool parties; heck most of us have had our fair share of beach parties. However, the opportunity to party in the oldest nature bath in Iceland whilst your favourite DJs are spinning their stuff behind the decks is one of rare occurrence. Fuelled by the fires of a volcano, one simply must experience Iceland 120-year-old geothermal bath and relax (or fist pump, whatever takes your fancy) whilst listening to your favourite DJs behind the decks.

The planet’s only party to take place inside a glacier

Secret Solstice Festival provides you with your only chance of the year to party inside a glacier. Mad we know but how intriguing does that sound? Imagine being wrapped up in your biggest coat, gloves and scarf and taking unlimited amounts of SnapChat videos behind the decks INSIDE A GLACIER?! To go further into detail, last year saw Secret Solstice Festival host the world’s first ever party inside a glacier inside of 10,000-year-old ice of Langjokull. This is the second largest glacier in Europe.

The globe’s first ever public performance inside a volcano

Looking to outdo the world’s first ever party inside a glacier from last summer, Secret Solstice Festival will be hosting the world’s first ever public performance inside a volcano in 2016. To be more specific, it will take place inside the dormant magma chamber of Thrihnukagigur volcano. With helicopter transportation taking festival fanatics from Reykjavik all the way to this unique location followed by a short hike and a 400 foot elevator drop into the inactive magma chamber, this is one experience those present will be able to remember for the rest of their lives.
