The Festival
I just loved Amsterdam’s Electronic Family in June! The location, the line up, the atmosphere, the merry-go rounds, everything was impressive. I also had the chance to play at the event’s Armada stage and thoroughly enjoyed it! It was just great to see so many people from all ages come together to dance and enjoy the festival. I don’t think I saw anyone without an ear-to-ear grin on their face!
The Club
I’ll go with Tao in Las Vegas – a lavish location with a fantastic décor and a cozy yet extremely festive atmosphere. Their adjacent Asian Bistro is also fantastic, I like it so much I actually had my wedding dinner there
The Producer
There’s so many talented producers out there, and I feel blessed to have known and worked with some of them, that it’s hard to only choose a name. I am a big fan of Dash Berlin, W&W and of my friend Dankann. It’s a tough decision, but I’ll say Porter Robinson is the producer of the year as far as I am concerned. His “Language” is just perfect
The Hero
I was moved when Oscar Pistorius was accepted to the London Olympics: he is yet another living proof of the fact that the body’s flaws can be overcome by willpower and that there’s no limits to what one can achieve. It’s an important lesson everyone should remember when feeling discouraged
The Breakthrough Artist
Another tough one!
The Prediction For 2013
I would just like to tell all the conspiracy theorists in love with some whacky Mayan prediction and who have been telling me about how pointless it is to strive for the best and to enjoy life as there is no future anyway: 2013 is coming, you’ll have to go back to work next year
