A personal collection for after hours grooving
1. Sascha Braemer – Dreamer (Edu Imbernon Remix)
One of my favourite producers on the remix, sits in a DJ set just as well as in the headphones.
2. Little Dragon – Ritual Union (Maya Jane Coles Remix)
Her most unorthodox remix in my opinion, doesn’t stray too far from the original, but totally captures the atmosphere intended.
3. Coma – Raindrops
This is a beautiful piece of work, and at 10 minutes long doesn’t rush itself to go anywhere – it just unravels as it should.
4. Pachanga Boys – Time
Everybody is rinsing this track at the moment and rightly so. Perfect summer track, I’ll be surprised if anything tops it this year.
5. Solomun – Something We All Adore
Inititally the simplicity of the bassline threw me off until I clocked that that was the genius of the track. Plus, it’s Tupac.
6. Sei A – Meth II (Guy J Remix)
That bass gets me everytime when the distortion comes in, lovely progesssion on the synths. Tonnes of fun to DJ with.
7. Nathan Fake – You Are Here (Four Tet Remix)
An absolute classic, the tighter structure of the Four Tet remix slightly edges out the original on a come down.
8. Rone – Nakt
I’ve snuck this into a few mixes recently, doesn’t fit in the slightest, but it’s so good it had to be done.
9. Superpitcher – Joanna
Another classic. Some experimental piano house always goes down well of a morning. Everything Superpitcher does would be suitable to be honest.
10. D/R/U/G/S – Archipelago
One of my oldest tracks, takes me back to a simpler time!
