Kreative Nativez is a duo of producers and DJs from Lusaka in Zambia made up of childhood friends DJ Blocks and Tryybo. They came together in 2017 and have been making moves since fusing together Afro-tech, house and retro soul on a range of international labels. Mixing up percussion and driving rhythms, they have performed all over Africa and beyond. As their new collaboration with Dr Feel and Philasande, ‘Iqhawe’, drops on connected, DMCWorld goes back to mine with Kreative Nativez.

Sade – The Sweetest Taboo
This is a beautiful form of musical arrangement art at its best. Sade is life, one of the most beautiful songs ever, so simple, so beautiful and so elegant. She has inspired some of our music. She is timeless. We made an edit of this and play it in some of our DJ sets.
Michael Jackson – Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough
He was only 21 here, yet he had already perfected his craft many years prior. There will never be another Michael Jackson. The guy was just mesmerizing and simply amazing.
Angelique Kidjo – Agolo
This is a magic one, so deep, so emotional. African music at his best. Growing up this made us feel some of the history of African music as the future from the past we got a chance to define ourselves and find ourselves. What a vibe, the first time we felt this song and saw the visuals, we were blown away. Also the message behind Agolo is just so powerful, it had to be a hit.
Roger Sanchez – Another Chance
Probably one of the top 10 dance tracks of all time, so simple, yet so cool, an absolute classic.
Robin S – Show Me Love
Hypnotic synth lead and strong soulful vocals = a timeless classic. Capturing both 70’s disco and 90’s pop dance music in one song, this is the ultimate standard in 90’s dance music. This song is so relatable with an unforgettable beat, that we feel it has inspired many electronic dance and techno songs today. Robin deserves all the shine forever, she is an amazing vocalist, who never got the recognition she deserved. Amazing vocals, and production from the 90’s, ahead of its time.

Daft Punk – ‘Around the world’ was repetitive but that’s exactly what we loved about it and the way the elements of the music stacked on top of each other blew our mind. It has no age limit, it’s timeless and ageless, this music will be around the world forever.
Nick Holder – Summer Daze
This is a magic one. So deep, so emotional. Any time, any place, during any situation, this simple prayer is a reminder of how beautiful music is. An absolute feel-good song.

Had to close this ‘Back to Mine’ with this masterpiece! The world needs this song today more than ever, it’s just timeless!!!
