Back To Mine with Francesca Lombardo

Italy’s Francesca Lombardo has been crisscrossing the globe and headlining all its most tasteful clubs and festivals for many years. Her powerful, heartfelt grooves have come on the most influential labels of the day and her critically acclaimed debut album ‘Life of Leaf’ showed that she can do all sounds and styles from downtempo to pop with equal skills. As she drops her new Magic Moment EP on Ovum, DMCworld goes Back To Mine with Francesca Lombardo.

Gui Borrato  – Arquipelago

Gui Boratto - Arquipelago

I always thought that Gui Borrato’s music arrangements were perfect from beginning to end in all of his tracks. The way the sounds are introduced and mixed within Arquipelago too are perfect.  A great moment for the dancefloor and for any time during the day really!

Nathan Fake – The Sky Was Pink – James Holden Remix

Nathan Fake - The Sky Was Pink (James Holden remix)

Emotions – this track is exactly painting the colours of a pink sky as the title tells. An explosion of emotions while watching the sunset of a sky getting pink and you can project this into the dancefloor. It is never a bad moment to play this track in your sets… the original is also amazing.

Alex Smoke – Don’t See The Point

Alex Smoke - Don't See the Point

A classic, besides a simple track with great electro and minimal elements, the vocals really stick in your head and makes this track one of my favourites in my collection. It brings me so many memories!!

Mathew Jonson – Decompression

Mathew Jonson - Decompression (MINUS24 - 2004)

I remember when this first came out, it was always in my sets at home with friends when we were playing our vinyls to each other and spending hours just sharing the new ones. Everyone had this… I still love it to bits, and actually I do love everything that Mathew Jonson does and has done. A true Master!

Solvent – My Radio

Solvent - My Radio

Solvent, The inventor of Disco Nouveau music together with Lowfish, had so much influence on my musical taste.  This track especially that came out on his album Apples and Synthesizers (all tracks on this album are great!) is one of the tracks I listen to the most even today. Every single sound being recorded from analogue and the vocals representing the power of electronics with its lyrics being very powerful too.

Josh Wink – Higher State Of Consciousness

Acid – That rolling acid bassline has always stayed in my heart! From the days I used to play Acid Techno to after when I discovered this track. It’s a classic, one of a kind that describes its genre in a perfect way!

Robert Miles – Children

Robert Miles - Children (Official Video)

I remember the first time I listened to the track in room 1 in Number One club in Italy, I was 18 years old. It became the anthem of clubbers at the time, I love this track deeply, I can say it marked the beginning of my love for clubbing.

Jahcoozi – Fish

Ah yes ! the great times… I still get shivers down my body when I hear this… I should make an edit, I keep saying that… the bass line after the intro with the vocals is so ingenious! Everyone should have a copy of this and still play it!

Alex Under – Las Bicicletas Son Para El Verano

Las Bicicletas Son Para El Verano

One of the best minimal techno tracks ever made, the sound of Alex Under, of being under water while grooving is something you can only really get in his tracks. He has influenced a lot of artists at the time with minimal techno who followed him in his sound in their tracks and sets.

Audion – Mouth To Mouth

Audion - Mouth to Mouth (Original Mix)

What can I say?  BOMB!!!! ❤
