I literally fell in love on the dance floor to ‘Plastic Dreams’, the first time I truly felt that overwhelming, magnetic connection to another person through music. That short but intense raver romance still lives in my memory, tied to the hypnotic groove of this timeless classic.
The Prodigy – Climbatize
There was something about this track that made me pause and take in the world around me. I used to lay on the grass, watching the clouds shift and move with the music, lost in that weightless feeling. Years later, I had the chance to witness one of Keith Flint’s last performances, a powerful moment that made this track even more special.
Steve Lawler – Dark Drums
As a drummer and percussionist, ‘Dark Drums’ was a mind-blowing experience when I first heard it. Steve Lawler was one of my favourite DJs back then, and I still miss those times when DJs released mix CDs that told a real story, sets you could play over and over, from Nubreed to Bedrock and Perfecto. This track embodied that era for me.
Goldtrix feat. Andrea Brown – It’s Love (Trippin’)
A garage house anthem with those vocals, this track got me from the very first stab chord. Even today, I still play it sometimes, and it never fails to bring that energy back.
Peace Division – What Is This Sound?
I’ve always been drawn to deep basslines. In Argentina, progressive house has always ruled, and I was heavily into that sound. This track perfectly captures that rolling, hypnotic groove that defined so many unforgettable nights.
Kelly G – Feels Good (Yeah!) (Kelly G Shelter Mix)
House music has always had the power to lift me. The first time I heard this track, it was almost a spiritual experience, something close to gospel, a pure expression of joy and release.
Timo Maas feat. Brian Molko – First Day
This track came into my life when I was in film school, a time when we were the weirdos, the outcasts, the ones experimenting with everything (including horse tranquilizer). It was a soundtrack to that era, capturing the feeling of being different, searching, and pushing boundaries.
Heartthrob – Baby Kate (Plastikman Remix)
A Plastikman gem that has stayed with me for years. It’s minimal, hypnotic, and perfect for taking a crowd deep into the trance-like state I love to create in my sets. I still play this one often, it never gets old.
Ricardo Villalobos – Peculiar
Villalobos is one of my biggest inspirations. This track, with Marvin Gaye’s vocals, resonates deeply with how I feel about love, something intangible, something that moves between reality and dream. His minimal, organic approach to rhythm changed the dance floor forever, and it’s one of the inspirations behind one of my side projects.
Luciano – Octagonal
Luciano at his best, sophisticated, deep, drummy. The way he uses delay to create layers is just perfection. It’s a dreamy, rolling track that pulls you in, one of those productions where every element feels like it’s exactly where it should be.
Radio Slave – Strobe Queen
A more recent favourite, from 2023. This track blends the long, rolling hypnotic vibe I love with an old-school house feeling. It’s rare for me to find newer music that truly grabs me, but Radio Slave always delivers.
