With the likes of Black Coffee, Solomon and Damian Lazarus remixing his original music, and tastemakers like, Keinemusik, Sasha, Bedouin and Pete Tong all championing his records, Made By Pete’s 5 year affiliation with seminal underground imprint Crosstown Rebels has garnered him a global fanbase, all while he is fully underway his first season long Ibiza residency at Blue Marlin. DMCWorld goes back to mine with Made By Pete.

Fleetwood Mac – Rhiannon (Live from 1976)

I grew up listening to Fleetwood mac via my parents. The vocal harmonies between Steve Nicks, Lindsay Buckingham and Christine McVie were so special and ‘Rhiannon’ really captures that. The video I have linked is a live performance from The Midnight Special in 1976. The performance (especially the last few mins) makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up every time I see it, in fact it’s taken me 20 mins to write this paragraph because I’ve watched it three times! You can tell by the look on Mick Fleetwood’s face that something special was happening. The album version is great too, but this live performance is legendary.

Massive Attack & Tracey Thorn – Protection

This is without doubt one of my top 5 records of all time. Tracey’s voice has always been captivating to me so this collaboration is just perfect. One of those records I’ve had with me for years and never tired of.

Sia – Breathe Me

I had been familiar with Sia through her work with Zero 7 but when I first heard ‘Breathe Me’ I was blown away. Milo did a great remix too, but the original has stuck with me ever since. Sia obviously went on to have a huge pop career…. Such a talent.

Moderat – Eating Hooks

This track is so brilliant. It has beauty and tension in all the right places. I saw Moderat live at Alexandra Palace in London towards the end of 2022 and they were amazing. The music video is really cool too.

Mody – Porcelain

Moby’s album ‘Play’ was one of those records that I listened to over and over again as a teenager. It was such a ground breaking album to me and one of my first route’s into electronic music. ‘Go’ was used for the iconic beach scene in ‘The Beach’ and has been one of my favourite records ever since.

Air & Beth Hirsch – All I Need

I think I could listen to this record on repeat all day and not get bored. Beth’s vocals and the instrumentation combine effortlessly. It’s beautiful.

Ameli Paul – Iama

I have Youtube to thank for my love affair with Amelia Paul. I was listening to various things in my garden last summer and up popped this amazing live set by Amelie Paul. I’ve been following them ever since and they gave become a firm favourite of mine. In picked ‘Iama’ because it combined great grooves, melodies and vocals. The synth chords are really beautiful.

Haelos – Full Circle

I came across this song when it was featured on a Netflix drama. I quickly researched the band and got a copy of their album. The whole thing is brilliant. I saw them live in London a few years ago and they were really good.

Jakarta & Seal – My Vision (Summer in White Edit)

This song reminds me of one of my best ever holidays in Ibiza when I was 19. It was just before the 24 hour partying licences were revoked. We would go out to a club and come back to Bora Bora beach at 6am to watch the sunrise before going to Space for We Love in the morning. This track was part of our sunrise playlist and every time I hear it, it takes me back to those special moments.

Faces – Ooh La La

An amazing feel good record. The chorus.. “I wish that I knew what I know now when I was younger” is something I’m sure a lot of us can connect with.
