Italy’s Masino is the founder of EDMEA Records and has developed his own take on house and techno, appearing on the likes of Analytic Trail, Snatch! and Phobiq. Thanks to his love of using outboard gear to craft his productions, it all arrives with a uniquely analogue sound and has found favour with the likes of Radio Slave and Nicole Moudaber, among many. As his new ‘In My Head EP’ lands on Mind Medizin, DMCWorld goes Back To Mine With Masino.
Sade – Your Love Is King
For me this is a record that I will always keep in my “rankings” because my mother told me that she made me fall asleep with Sade in the background.
The Salsoul Orchestra – Chicago Bus Stop (Ooh, I Love It)
There’s nothing to say here… this is music! I have to say thanks to my dad’s influence when I was little and his record collection!
Cerrone – Love In C Minor
I have this album on vinyl and when I have a free moment I always listen to it with pleasure and it is never missing from my preferences.
MFSB – Love Is The Message
This record will never die…. beautiful, emotional, it’s all there, I love it.
Frankie Knuckles – The Whistle Song
Frankie made me fall in love with house music, I like both playing this out and listening to it on my sofa in the company of a good wine.
Jamiroquai – Little L
This track was love at first listen for me. When I’m driving, or when I’m at home it relaxes me a lot. It also has it’s house nuances, and Jamiroquai is a great artist.
George Michael – Fastlove
I love this song and I love him, the great George Michael. He left a huge musical legacy that will be passed down for all generations including mine.
Mark Ronson – Ooh Wee (feat. Ghostface Killah, Nate Dogg, Trife & Saigon)
Fantastic! Here’s a beat that never lets you down, I like it a lot and I always listen to it wherever I am.
Moby – Porcelain
Moby was one of those artists who inspired me to become a DJ and producer. This is in my opinion is a masterpiece.
Stardust – Music Sounds Better With You
The first album that I ever bought.
Masino ‘In My Head EP’ is released on May 24th on Mind Medizin.
