Lime – I Don’t Wanna To Lose You (Club Mix)
This is THEE Lime tune and mix for me. A solid favourite to play in my sets and great for an after party, this club mix showcases Italo at its finest. You would have to be dead not to move to this.
Luther Rabb – Make A Little Move
This track is so special to me. It reminds me of my trips to Philadelphia. I remember hearing my friend Ryan Todd from Universal Cave dropping this at one of our favourite haunts, Johnny Brenda’s. The minute I heard that bassline, I was hooked.
Depeche Mode – Strangelove (Pain Mix)
It wouldn’t be a list of my top songs without my beloved, Depeche Mode. This mix is great and has burrowed its way into a good portion of my sets.
Shirley Bassey – Light My Fire
My grandfather was obsessed with Shirley Bassey, and he passed that obsession on to me. It wouldn’t be an after party at mine without Shirley on. Her cover of ‘Light My Fire’ is a solid favourite.
Space – Carry On, Turn Me On
Space have been a huge influence on my work. Their pioneering electronic sounds, always stand out. I love Space and Disco and you get no finer a group when it comes to the two.
Pages – Heartaches and Pain
Going back to my roots again with this one. An oldie, but a bona fide Goldie. I love the words, energy and rhythm of this track. Another get up off of your seat number.
Lindstorm – I Feel Space
I think Lindstorm is a genius, I love his work. This is a particular stand out tune for me and of course I love the title choice / theme. He’s also been a big influence on my upcoming album, Synaptic Juice.
Kano – Another Life
I love the diversity you get from a Kano catalogue and this track with its synth driven sounds and powerful vocals is another great addition.
James Fountain – Seven Day Lover
This tune is so close to my heart. Certain Northern tunes really hit my soul, and this is one of them. It’s also a solid favourite of my dad’s (he taught me how to DJ) Listen to the raw emotion in the vocal? We just don’t get music like this anymore; this track is precious.
Siouxsie & The Banshees – Spellbound
What can I say? Siouxsie is my queen. It wouldn’t be a list of back to mine tunes without her. This spellbinding piece (pun, intended) is simply a work of art. I adore her style and music, talk about an icon.
