Four Tet – Morning Side
Four Tet has always been one of my biggest inspirations, having been one of my earliest introductions into the electronic music world. So it wouldn’t be right to have this list without one of his tracks, Morning side being one of my favorite tracks of all time. It has got me through many train journeys and travels throughout the years and is a track that keeps me very grounded when things feel a bit shaky. Almost as much of a meditation as it is a track.
Radio Slave – N.I.N.A (Ame remix)
This track blew my head off when I was first introduced. It starts off very unassuming and light with the jazzy piano chords and then just gets trippy as hell! such an interesting track with a very fun vibe, I’ve closed sets with this before as it evokes a lot of feel-good vibes.
Braxton – Indigo
I’m into a lot of world music like Deep Forest, Ron Trent etc… this track by Braxton caught my attention as it feels like world music in a proggy/trancey context. Very lush soundscape that builds beautifully, I had a phase of being obsessed with this track.
Trudge – Bangkok Radio
The lead track from his “No More Motivation” LP, Trudge has come out with one of my favourite albums in a long time. It’s eclectic, deep, industrial and emotional. The whole album is a work of art, with the track “Snake Dance” being an honorable mention also. I think Bangkok radio resonates and evokes a lot of different colourful emotions in me and has inspired one of the tracks I’m writing for my next album.

Chris Liebing – Patterns (ft. Maria Uzor)
A standout track from another stunning album “Another Day” by Chris Liebing. I’m a little familiar with some of Chris’ old school techno works and have seen him perform before, he’s a great artist, but for me this track is very unique. Almost evoking similar vibes to Trudge’s album I mentioned, that deep, industrial and emotional feeling that grinds on your soul a bit. The whole album is a beauty a swell.
Nox Vahn, Marsh – Come Together
A stunning track from one of my favourite labels, anjunabeats. This is another journey/meditation track which pierces you with its themes of nature and Alan Watts’ spoken word vocals, which really pull you in as the tension builds. I love showing people this track as it’s just absolutely gorgeous.
Radiohead – Lotus Flower
One of my favorite tunes from one of my favorite bands. A very delicate, beautiful and textured track. I love the whole king of Limbs album, again another body of music that has got me through many travels. Coming from a rock background Radiohead have been a band that has been with me for years.
Floating Points – Nuits Sonores
Such a classic from the absolute mastermind that is Floating Points. Progressive, Jazzy and very introspective. Floating Points was also an artist I listened to a lot when I was having my first real introductions into the electronic world alongside Four Tet.
Pete Lazonby – Sacred Cycles (Fort Romeau Remix)
I love the original, this remix has an almost world music feel about it, rather than the original which was more of a classic trance track. As you may have sussed I love the meditative vibes a track can evoke and this track is a journey from start to finish.
Solar Fields – Introduction
I think Solar Fields is one of the most interesting electronica artists out there. His tracks are always journeys evoking space & psychedelic themes. This being one of my favorites, a track he did from the game “Mirrors Edge”, just a beautiful ambience building up until the percussion starts weaving in. I love tracks like these that are more ambient focused, and just let the soundscape envelope.
