After hours grooving with the Berlin youth prodigy
1. Photek – Modus Operandi
The title says all. This is perfection.
2. Gigi Masin & Alessandro Monti – Stella Maris
Listening to this so often when I’m playing somewhere, it’s a really good way to come down and simply relax.
3. Panda Bear – I’m Not
Really interesting & inspiring artist, one of my favourites (besides his bandproject “Animal Collective”) at the moment. “Tomboy” is also an amazing album.
4. Ethel Wulf & Bones – Bloody Gown
This guy Bones already released like 200 tracks this year…really worth to dig through, a lot of treasures you can find there.
5. araabMUZIK – Electronic Dream
He samples the cheesiest trance and it actually sounds superb.
6. Salem – Redlights
This one’s such a classic. I probably listen to this like 2-3 times a day, never gets boring for me, but it actually took some time to understand and appreciate the album.
7. Chief Keef – Citgo
His beat picks are sometimes a little melancholic and that’s one reason why I’m really into some of his tracks.
8. Ross 154 – Apricot
One of my favourite ambient tracks ever, simple and beautiful. Imagine listening to that on the beach at sunset.
9. Scott Walker – It’s Raining Today
It’s incredible how these strings in the background actually give you the feeling, that it rains…lovely song.
10. Oneohtrix Point Never – I Only Have Eyes For You
He is one of the most outstanding producers out there. nobody can play with vocals like this, also the chords in the background. I’m like “wow” everytime, don’t remember I even skipped this track when it came up.
