The Dutch superstar duo march on into madness with their huge new tune ‘Soldier’…
Thom, Idir a huge welcome back to DMCWORLD towers…where on planet earth are you today?
Currently we are in Bangkok – Thailand, flying back home tomorrow.
The best new piece of music you have heard since rolling out of bed this morning?
Our own new collab, which we unfortunately cannot tell too you much about yet. But we will!
Well you have done it again!!! Created a brand new tune that is destroying dancefloors absolutely everywhere. Please talk us through the production and history of ‘Soldier’…
We already supported a lot of music made by Breathe Carolina. At a certain point they asked us if we were interested collaborating. We have made an instrumental and send it to them via email. We tried multiple versions of the vocal and finally came to a complete and finished tune that turned out to be “Soldier”.
Did you know on completion that you had created an ABSOLUTE MONSTER?
No to be honest, we were a little bit scared since this was the very first time we stepped out of the hard edm and tried something a little more progressive.
When you were growing up, was a soldier’s life something you ever considered as a career?!??
No not as a soldier, but Thom really would have seen himself in a SWAT team and still does haha.
Miami must seem like a distant memory now, what were some of your highlights this year?
Of course Ultra and our own pool party were the 2 biggest highlights. We are also very happy with the reactions of the tunes on our new label, Maximize Records. Check this out…

An up and coming producer to watch out for in 2016…
We actually have two guys we are really seeing as potential new talents. Olly James from England and Kevu from Portual!
Will you be heading to Ibiza this summer?
Who knows Dan, who knows…
You have a very loyal fan base, do you get the same faces turning up hundreds or even thousands of mile from their home?
Haha yes we actually do. We have people seriously following us even to other continents, which really means a lot to us.
And finally, what is coming out next from you studio wise…
We have done a remake of a 1999 classic trance tune, which is really something new. Also a lot of new originals are on the shelf as well as some big collabs.
