“Carl Cox’s Space residency has always that special magic…the club is one of the coolest ones on the island, and Carl’s sets are just…perfect….that was one of our favourite nights…”
Why is Ibiza still the best party location in the world?
“In our opinion it’s just because the party vibe is running in every street at every hour…it’s not just inside the clubs…people feels like they have something in common just for the fact that they’re there! And this makes the island feel magic…most of all, the melting pot of people coming from all over the world, from every social class, age, music taste, it’s like a big community with just one goal: have fun!”
Ibiza is now split straight down the middle with serious DJs spinning quality house and techno on one side, and DJs playing the big room bangers on the other. Discuss…
“It’s just because being so full of different people, DJs have to meet the needs of the crowds…of course now that everyone’s talkin’ about the island, it’s not just “clubbers” anymore, there’s also simple party people, and maybe they’re not so “underground junkies”….we see no problems in playin big room bangers, especially when the coolest tracks of this last year were that kind of stuff…we do not believe in rules, the only good one is “break every rule” so if big room is gettin popular, why not? maybe next year will be hardstyle, or merengue, or whatever, who cares?”
What new party caused the biggest splash in their debut summer this year? And why?
“Swedish House Mafia’s gig at Ushuaia was definitely the most buzzed party of the summer, and the reason is obvious.”
Favourite restaurant and beach in Ibiza?
“B’For! Best sushi EVER! Go there!! And about beaches, Cala Longa is one of the most beautiful places you can see!
Do you think the 123 Rocktronic Festival that featured the likes of Lenny Kravitz, Elton John, Sting, David Guetta and Tiesto this year is an important addition to the Ibiza summer, or do you think it is a case of one too many party on an already bulging season?
“We are totally ok with everything new, so, the more, the best! if people has more choices, they’ll be more than happy, they’ll talk about that and next year we’ll see Sting’s fans comin’ to the island and discovering Skrillex…it’s just spreadin the word…”
What is the one record that will always remind you of Ibiza…?
“Definitely, Layo & Bushwacka’s “Love Story”…. a true everlasting anthem….”
Best venue in Ibiza and why?
“It will sound over repeated, but Bora Bora is always magic….it’s small compared to the other big venues, but it still has that magic touch, you can feel at home while you’re on the floor, it’s something totally unique….”
A lot of money has been spent on the island in recent years improving things, what do you think is the biggest improvement on the island?
“Improvement?? We only noticed that everything seems to be a bit more “polished”…not that drama, but we prefer the “wild side” of the island!”
What nationality are the craziest people on the dancefloor?
“Russians and Eastern Europe kids are definitely goin to be the “new Italians” LOL they’re true party freaks, maybe even too much sometimes…”
Breakthrough artist of 2012?
“Instead of a single artist, we would name a whole style: Moombathon seemed to be played everywhere….it’s even cooler and groovier than dubstep, we hope it’s goin to breakthrough in the mainstream, we totally love that sound…”
If you had to pick one person to go out clubbing with in Ibiza, who would it be?
“Whoever! Parents, girlfriend, friends, Barack Obama….it’s just…perfect for everyone!”
And finally, tell us about your first trip to the white isle…
“We don’t have very clear memories about that LOL!!”
