When I went to play at a really underground afterhours here in Madrid and the DJ booth was like the Tom Hanks film “The Money Pit”, everything I touched was broken – the pitch control on the DJ decks was going constantly up and down by itself, the mixer was also giving me continuous electric shocks…I’ve played succesfully in almost any difficult context but, man, this was impossible! I think it was the first and only time I’ve given up on a gig! I suggest to underground club promoters that underground should also mean professionalism and taking care of your soundsystem
