Superstar Barcelona producer bringing us a stunning new single on Juicy

Welcome to DMCWORLD towers dude. Brilliant new tune ‘Knob’ smashing The Buzz Chart at the moment, talk us through the tune. The tune is spinning our way on Robbie Rivera’s superb Juicy label, you must have been quite happy signing to that label?

“Yes, for sure, Robbie is a one of my favourites deejays and producers since I started to play about 13 years ago!”

‘Knob’ is one of a trio of releases you have at the moment, your cool remix of Jesse Voorn’s ‘Fuel To The Fire’ just out and also your next tune with Alemany ‘Rock In Hell’ coming out next month. What can you tell us about that new blockbuster?

“It’s a mainstream track that needs no vocal, powerful melody and a break with a nod to dustup.”


You are resident at one of the best clubs in Europe, Opium in Barcelona. What makes this club so special?

“It’s an amazing club, on the front of the Barcelona’s beach, for 4000 people, and a big terrace! And all the top deejays and artists are coming all year.”

Tell us about your home city – according to Forbes Magazine the third happiest in the world…where would you take us for dinner, a pre club drink and your favourite beach?

“For sure it is one of the happiest cities in the world, Barcelona is amazing, wanna come to dinner? Visit NUBA, amazing restaurant in the uptown, for take a drink before Opium, you should visit to CDLC, superb lounge club close to Opium. And the best beach… wherever! Any is good!”

“Ministers de la funk feat Jocelyn Brown – ‘Believe’, the best song I played ever!”

What is coming next from you studio wise…?

“More and more tracks, great collabs are coming and eager to keep working hard!”

Tell us about your connection to the world famous triathlete Josef Ajram…

“It was a collab between his brand “Where Is The Limit” and my music. In Spain, my music style is not at the top, and so many people are surprised with my sets, Josef wanted to show to his fans one way for training with this amazing music.”

Who are the producers around the world you are currently giving respect to?

“Nowadays, the best…Afrojack, Hardwell, Axwell, Ingrosso, Angello, Wolfgang Gartner and the teacher…Robbie Rivera! hehehehe…”

How did you fall in love with dance music growing up – who were the artists you were jumping around your bedroom to as a kid?

“Wow! Great years haahhaha, I remember Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Erick Morillo as Reel 2 Real, Corona…”

What was the first GREAT club you ever went to?

“I played in some big clubs in Barcelona, but the first great was Amnesia Ibiza in the summer of 2005, every Wednesday and Sunday in the bigroom. Was an amazing summer.”

Where was your first DJ gig – what happened?

“Very nervous, no one knew me, but it worked out great. It was at a trendy club outside Barcelona.”

Who is the best DJ you have played alongside?

“Uff, so many! David Guetta, Afrojack, Erick Morillo, Avicii, Swedish House Mafia, Thomas Gold, Hardwell, Steve Aoki, Danny Tenaglia, and many many many more!”

What is the craziest request you have ever had from a clubber whilst DJing?

“Hahaahah, while I’m playing some hits of  Afrojack or Hardwell, one girl told me if I can play “Ai si eu te pego”…orgh!! I hate this song!!”

Away from Barcelona, where around the world has been incredible club sets for you in 2012?

“Now I’m focused on OPIUM, but the best club set away from Barcelona was in 2011, Amsterdam, at Supperclub Boat.”

If you hadn’t have become a DJ/producer – what career would you have followed?

“Medicine! I think! Hehehe.”

What did your family think of your choice of career?

“Whatever I chose, my family were happy.”



And finally, what one record would you love to remix?

“I have done it. It was a track by Whitney Houston, with the vocal of Meritxell Negre and it will be released soon!”
