What pearls of wisdom would you offer to those considering setting up their own label?
Starting a record label is exciting but challenging. First, know what makes your label unique. Build strong relationships with artists, distributors, and fans. Stay flexible and adapt to changes in the industry. Finally, understand the business side – contracts, royalties, and marketing are crucial for long-term success. Passion for music is essential, but treating your label like a business is key to sustaining it.
