The Warehouse Project, Manchester
We’re not saying this just because we played there and it is in our home town but The Warehouse Project in Manchester is by far the best run venue in the country. The main room is now a mecca to all DJs. The line ups are amazing and crowd a pleasure to play for
Producer of the year
Dave Spoon
Who has bounced back into the club scene with his new Shadow Child alias bringing some very fresh originals and top draw remixes. The production on “String thing” is just sexual, so we give the award to him!
The Hero
Justin Martin
Tough call but we’re gonna go with Justin Martin. Not only did he produce the best artist album of the year as far as we are concerned but he is relentless. Tour dates all over the world, 3 or 4 gigs per week, Essential Mix on BBC Radio One and all round nice guy on social media. For someone who like us has stuck to his guns and made bass music to make people dance rather than financial gain, he is a inspiration to underground producers around the world
The Breakthrough Artist
Eats Everything
We would have said Shadow Child again but technically he was already established as Dave Spoon. So we shall go with Daniel Pearce aka Eats Everything, by no means a new artist on the scene but as far as breaking through and establishing himself as a world renowned name he is a winner for us hands down. We read somewhere that he sent 70 emails to DirtyBird before Claude replied, if that’s true we only need to send another 20!
Prediction for 2013
We predict that Ninjury will take over the world, you won’t even see us coming – we shall make everyone our bitch!
