What’s The Best Night Out You’ve ever Had?
Subliminal Sessions at Crobar 2002 WMC. Erick debuted 2 of my songs, Shiny Disco Balls, and Sting Me Red. The crowd went nuts over both songs and since I was a new-comer to the House scene it totally blew my mind to see so many people loose their minds to my creations. The vibe was incredible.
What’s Your Favourite Club?
There is a club out in Moscow called “Fabrique”. I totally rocked it, like totally! I mainly play for the female audience and I guess they weren’t expecting my set to be so good. So to make a long story short, into my third record I had the whole front rows occupied by all the women in the club. They where all cheering me on and handing me tissues to wipe my sweat, and batting their lashes at me, you know, all the stuff a DJ dreams of. So I was left memorized at the vibe and warmth I recieved. I usually get some of the guys flashing me the middle finger cause they want “Hard music”, I say, screw yourself! Let’s see… a room full of women loving my set, or, a room full of shirtless muscle freaks bobbing their head like chickens. Boy, that’s a hard one.
What’s Your Favourite Record Of All-time?
As far as house music is concerned “Spaced Invaders” by Hatiras has never left my CD case. Its’ an amazing song and it’s one of those songs that can get any crowd jumping (except the “beer holding, look at my fake breasts” crowd).
What Record Can’t You Stand?
There is no one particular song I can’t stand, but there is a certain style that bores me, and it’s that downtempo, jazzy, soulful stuff. It’s totally cool to listen in your car or at the dentist office but at a club I feel it’s such a waste. And the people don’t really enjoy it, they just pretend to enjoy it cause they want their peers to believe they are so up on House music. Like, “Oh yeah I know this track, I always see this DJ (a lie), and I travel the world, look at my fake boobies, say hi to them, look they are smiling at you”.
In the past I’ve been tricked into going to see these DJs (the soulful, jazzy, downtempo playing DJs will remain nameless) and it’s like “you wan’t to hear some “real” house music, you wan’t to go see a legend, this DJ has been around since the beginning of “House”, man you can learn so much watching them, “this is what real house music is”. And I get all excited and agree to go see them and 20 minutes into the DJ’s set I’m bored out of my effen mind! AND I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE! Everyone else is pretending to get into it, but you see them struggling to get into it. And sooner or later the vibe is completely gone and it ends up looking like an Industry Party. For those that don’t know what an industry party is just imagine a room full of people worried about looking really cool in front of their peers.

When Was The Last Time You Embarrassed Yourself?
I can get a bit delirious at airports from all the jet lag and what-not. So there was an instance when I fall asleep at the airport, when I came too I saw one of my school teachers sitting a couple of seats from me. He was with his family and they were all chatting away. So usually I’m very shy and I would never go up to someone that I didn’t know all that well, but this time I decided to stretch out and make my way over to him. I sat down next to him and said “Hey Mr. Cohen” and he looked at me and said “Hello”. So we struck up a conversation. His family members let me carry on the conversation before one of them made it clear to me that this was not Mr. Cohen. By this time I was no longer groggy from sleep and I got a better look at him. Sure enough I was talking to a total stranger. I felt stupid and embarrassed.
