Hi Ralph! Thanks for speaking to us today. What have you both been up to lately?
Hey! Yes of course! The last few months I have been spending a lot of time in the studio finishing new music that is dropping this year! There are a lot of cool new project that I’m currently working on and I can’t wait to share them with the world.
The best bit of new music you have heard since rolling out of bed?
Eden Prince his new remix of “Bazzi – Mine” love that one so much, it’s a must listen to!
Your new single ‘No Excuses featuring Anton Ewald is out now. For those yet to press play on the release, how would you describe the track?
Yes that is correct, I’m so glad the song is finally out there! It’s been a long time coming. I would definitely describe the song as the perfect summer anthem to play out when you are having a blast with your friends, it works best combined with sunshine!
It’s a very commercial cross over production. What was the inspiration behind it?
When I first heard the No Excuses vocal by Anton it completely blew my socks off. I really wanted to work on this song so badly as I felt the vocals were so strong. When Axwell and I were discussing the future of house music at WMC 2017, we felt “No Excuses” would fit in perfectly and he asked me to work on it. For me I felt the song needed to reflect a feel good moment and having a good time.
Could you give one production tip that you use on all your tracks?
If you are into dance music production please make sure to check out the “Vengeance Multiband side chain”, it’s the absolute best for custom curve side chaining! I use it on pretty much every song I produce, especially on the low ends. Other than that I would say, less is more when It comes to arrangement and elements!
What’s your dream studio collaboration?
That’s a very hard question to answer as there are so many great producers out there! However, if I would have to pick one out it would definitely be Alesso. I honestly feel he is one of the most versatile and best dance music producers out there!
What’s the biggest risk you’ve ever taken?
I would have to say stepping away from my former project NEW_ID and launching my own solo career. Sometimes when things become a bit too comfortable I feel you need to change them up and try something else that challenges you, just so you become better in what you do!
