Espada Recordings has made a significant impression in a short time with its discerning blend of UKG and tech house. The label was started by Whoizz and Denace 2 Society and is already synonymous with authentic and authoritative sounds. That’s no real wonder given the vast experience of co-founder Denace 2 Society, who has been in the game for two decades, played all across Europe, released on Kittball and Klaphouse, and many more. Whoizz is a fast-rising talent whose ‘Base Street’ track got serious support from Marco Carola, while follow-ups like ‘Duk Duk’ and ‘MySpace’ have been huge in Ibiza for James Hype and all underline his powerful signature sound. As they get set to release their new ‘Rewind EP’, DMCWorld goes Trainspotting with Denace 2 Society.
Whoizz & Denace 2 Society – Badboy – Espada Recordings
Our own track and my personal favourite from the very first Espada release. Straight from the late-90s UK and Dutch toolbox – heavy garage vibes with a modern punch. Rolling deep, hitting hard, and guaranteed to make the floor erupt.
George Privatti – A Bottle Of Tequila – La Pera Records
I’m a huge George Privatti fan – his grooves never disappoint. This one is pure Tech House madness: the break drives the crowd wild, and after it drops back in, the floor goes absolutely crazy.
Nick Curly – Just A Feeling – Mood Child
A deep, atmospheric blend of tech and minimal house with lush grooves and subtle tension. The build-ups feel like a breath held — when the drop hits, it’s cathartic. Timeless and emotional, yet still rocks the floor every time.
Matheo Velez – Dance With You – Too Many Rules
Sounds like a forgotten gem from 1997 brought back with full power. UK Garage / Bassline at its best – crisp vocals, tight grooves, and a drop that feels both nostalgic and fresh. A proper time-travel weapon for the dancefloor.
SOSA – Your Love – Ministry of Sound
A pure euphoric weapon. The vocal in the middle break creates such intense goosebumps, and when the drop hits again the whole floor erupts. One of those tracks you can’t forget once you’ve heard it.
Greenflamez – I Had 2 Go (Freestylers Remix) – CruCast
The Freestylers remix hits hard with a raw UKG/Breaks vibe. Heavy basslines, sharp drums, and a drop that flips the dancefloor into total chaos. For me, it’s the ultimate tool of the year – a must on the third CDJ.
I first heard this track back in 2011 when I played alongside Tapesh – and it instantly stuck with me. A timeless groove monster that still destroys dancefloors more than a decade later.
Whoizz & Denace 2 Society – Rudeboy (Dompe Remix) – Espada Recordings
A powerful transition between Tech House and UKG with Dompe’s unmistakable drive. Already supported by Claptone – guaranteed energy for peak-time sets.
Sebo K – Catalyst – Robsoul Recordings
Deep, raw, atmospheric house at its finest. Thick bass, relentless rhythm, and filter touches that nod to classic French disco vibes. A sonic journey – perfect for late-night moments filled with moody energy.
Outart – Steinburg – Moon Harbour Recordings
For me, still the ultimate Moon Harbour weapon. Moody groove, subtle percussion and haunting brass layers that build unstoppable tension. A timeless tech-house cut that warms me – and the crowd – up every single time.
Whoizz & Denace 2 Society – Rewind EP is released on Espada Recordings on October 24th 2025.
