Trainspotting With Husky

Sydney’s producer and DJ Husky is known for his soulful, deep and disco solo productions, as well as his output as one half of Random Soul with production partner Yogi. You’ll find his works on his own labels Random Soul Recordings and Bobbin’ Head Music, as well as labels such as Salted Music, Purple Music, LouLou, Nurvous, Guesthouse, and Fool’s Paradise, to name a few. Over the last decade Husky has deepening his catalogue success via 2 full length artist albums, along with singles and collaborations with Mr V, Martina Budde, Kokiri, Ridney, Xira, Andre Espeut, Lee Wilson, Shyam P and many more. As his new collaboration ‘Hold Me’ with vocal talent Rona Ray lands on his Bobbin’ Head label, DMCWorld goes Trainspotting with Husky.

Husky Feat Rona Ray – Hold Me (Husky’s Beach Club Mix) – Bobbin Head Music

It was hard not to pick the Art of Tones remix tbh, as I love what Ludo did with his version and have been playing it a lot in my sets. But I have been playing this version longer as I was tweeking it and have come to love it. Simple in musicality but complementing Rona’s beautiful vocal melodies well.

Platinum Doll & P.Y Anderson – Believe In A Brighter Day (Micky More & Andy Tee Remix) – Sub-Urban

Lovely remix of this 1999 classic. The vocals are super rich and warm and the Italian duo have done it a great service with this elegant remix to update it for the soulful dance floor.

Milk & Sugar & James Hurr – I Love Music

Sampling the 1975 Ojay’s this is a nice chunky update. James Hurr is just an incredible producer and teaming up with the Milk & Sugar lads here for another Toolroom banger for 2024.

Kardano Feat Kor – Skyline (Random Soul Remix) – Random Soul Recordings

Another chunky piano house offering from Yogi & myself under our Random Soul moniker on this uplifting vocal from Canadian producer Kardano. Kor’s vocals are lush on this one and we wanted to funk up the original a little with our version. Works well on a floor.

CHANEY & JONES – Sunshine – D4Dance

Chaney has to be one of my favourite UK producers at the moment. Perfectly blending pop and commercial vibes with chunky house music. His releases always hit me in the feels. This one has a nice throwback vibe to it and with the ‘sunshine’ lyrics it’s a perfect summer tune.

Stereosoulz & IDA fLO – The Sun – Random Soul Recordings

Loved this summery vibe the minute we heard it and had to sign it. We did a Random Soul remix also in our piano house style which I love playing, but I often come back to the original and play this version just as much.

Husky & Sydney Jo Jackson – Get Down – TMRW Music

Was super proud to see this one hit the #1 spot in the Aria club chart here in Australia back on the 16^thof September. My first collaboration with Sydney and I loved putting this one together. A bit of a nod to my love of UK house. Awesome remix pack on this one also from Birdee, Knight Horse, The Night Slug & Jarred Baker.

Todd Terry, Jenika Tenn & Ridney – House Shh (Angelo Ferreri Remix) – Paharas Musica

Love this chunky club bump from Angelo on this track. Always a good groove from him, and im a sucker for some spoken word/hip house style vocals from Todd Terry himself. This one certainly works on a dance floor.

Jamie Jones & Jazzy – We Groovin’ – Helix

Have been playing this one consistently since the start of the year. Hypnotic piano and Jamie’s undeniable heavy bass punch this one along.

Ridney & Husky Feat Xira – You Ain’t Breakin My Heart – Fool’s Paradise

Loved working on this collaboration with Ridney. Xira’s vocals lit up the sample we had and having Mark Knight and the Toolroom team’s guidance helped to make this one a consistent banger in my sets. Hope you like it!
