Trainspotting With Lloyd Barwood

Lloyd Barwood has quickly emerged as one of progressive house’s brightest new talents, with support from icons like Sasha, Henry Saiz, and Eelke Kleijn. The London-based DJ & producer has landed on the likes of AXEPT Records, Controlled Substance and Stripped Digital whilst earning himself bookings across the UK and internationally, from supporting globally renowned DJs to headlining shows. As his new ‘Chain of thoughts’ EP lands on Last Night On Earth, DMCWorld goes Trainspotting with Lloyd Barwood.

Steve Parry – Turn Up the Juice (Dilby Remix) – Selador Recordings

Dilby works his magic on Steve Parry’s Turn Up the Juice, adding his signature progressive tech-house sound to an already fantastic original. I heard Dave Seaman play this at Balance Croatia in August, and the whole stage was rocking when this record dropped. No wonder it reached the top of the Progressive House charts on Beatport.

Cornucopia – Remember Me – Early Morning
The lead synth hook in Remember Me just gets in my head and doesn’t leave. Layered over atmospheric textures, ambient pads, and guitar plucks, the record transports you to a different dimension.

John Creamer, Stephane K – I Wish You Were Here (Paul Thomas Remix) – UV
I’ve always loved the original — the way it combines that hypnotic drive with those raw, emotive vocals. Paul’s remix holds onto those core elements but re-contextualises the record in a way that feels familiar yet renewed.

Manuel Moreno – Swedenborg feat. Natasha Waters (James Harcourt Remix) – Reconsider Music
Natasha’s vocals just resonate with me, and James’s ever-evolving remix pushes it harder and deeper whilst keeping the emotional core intact. I love how the main drop feels like a shift — almost like two distinct records emerging whilst still sounding cohesive.

Frankly & Sandrino – Genie – Rekids

Genie is deep, progressive, and experimental — everything I love about Frankey & Sandrino’s productions. They really know how to make music that works on the dancefloor, and once again, they’ve delivered , blending clever sound design, a strong bassline, and their signature house stabs. Excited to watch them play at the Selador party at ADE.

Pig&Dan, Ariel Eliaz – Can’t Stop the Flow of Love – Bedrock Records
What draws me in about this record is the sound design across the track, especially that bassline — it’s unique, hypnotic, and forward-thinking. I love a good vocal hook too.

Ezequiel Area, Durante – Dream Controller – Anjunadeep
Dream Controller feels like a record straight from the future. The epic, other-worldly synth lines pull you in whilst the drums and groove push the record forward. It’s epic in every proportion.

Cristina Lazic, Sinca – Un Monde – Bedrock Records
The French vocals from Sinca layered over the stripped-back groove just work so well. In a club, it sounds huge and does exactly what dance music is made for — dancing.

Denney – Promises – Rekids

I’ve been a big Denney fan since he dropped his record Low FrequenciesPromises has his signature sound – an almost tribal-like groove with rolling drums and a huge baseline, reminds me of his record Blacklight that was a staple in my sets. I cannot wait to drop this one in a club.

By:Them – Never Too Old to Dance – Move Recordings
First off, we have to take a moment to appreciate the name. This is a record that transports you to far-away places — it’s almost as if you can feel yourself standing on top of the world. A perfect closing record for a set.
