DJ Crisps – Jazzism  – Self Released

I’m a sucker for broken beats and groovy basslines and this has them both. Love the vocal sample and the sax as well. Lovely production.

Bob Bonádis – Space Animals – Bobby Donny Ace Series

On the topic of basslines, it doesn’t get much more groovy than this. Bobby Donny is my favourite label, and only just recently discovered that all the artists on there are actually just alias’s of the label owner Frits Wentink. Just when I thought I couldn’t love Frits any more, I find this out!

KingCrowney x Zoe Kypri – Coat On (Slxm Sol Remix) – Soul Quest Records

If you look up deep and soulful in the dictionary, you’ll see this one (with a bit of imagination). Love the way Slxm has arranged Zoe’s amazing vocals, the whole thing comes together really nicely and sums up Soul Quest perfectly.

Karizma – Spirit – R2 Records

Not many people can work gospel in house music like Karizma can. This has been booting off in my sets recently. Crazy energy that hooks you in deeper the further along it goes.

2fox – So Long Ft Liam Bailey & BB James (Manoo Remix) – Soul Quest Records

It was such an honour for Manoo to remix this for us. I had high expectations going into it, but he exceeded them all. He takes the listener on a proper journey and the production really compliments Liam’s and BB’s vocals.

Rob Redford – MPC Soul – Local Talk Records

Rob is quickly becoming one of y favourite homegrown producers. This track epitomises what i love about deep house. Really enjoying playing this at the moment and I’m sure it’ll be in my sets for a long time to come.

Max Sinàl – Let Your Hair Down Ft Hutch The Great – Soul Quest Records

A track that I’m really proud of and that I still enjoy playing in my sets. Was a lot of fun working on this with Hutch. His keys are next level and this was the first time he had sung on a track. It was also the track that really helped launch the label.

Let Your Hair Down (Original Mix)

D’monk – Listen – !K7 Music

This has been a lot of fun playing out recently. Big fan of this whole ep and of this track in particular. One for those peak time moments to get everyone moving.

Frits Wentink – Idle Dancer – Wolf Music

One of my favourite producers on one of my favourite labels. Hard to choose a favourite off this ep, as all tracks are beauties. Everything about the production is perfect. From the chords. vocals and baseline to the drums, proper deep house that will stand the test of time.

Rami – Walk (JT Donaldson Remix) – Dolfin Records

Once again, its all the crucial elements being on point that make this an instant deep house classic. Wicked vocals, chords, bassline and drums. Lovely one to warm up the room with.

WALK (JT Donaldson Remix)

‘Quest One’ (Incl. Max Sinàl, 2fox and KingCrowney & Zoe Kypri) will be released on vinyl on November 22nd 2024 on Soul Quest Records.
