Paul Donton has been an innovative electronic force for more than 15 years and under various different aliases. He has collaborated with Robert Owens to Orlando Voorn and regularly collaborates with Rob Pearson, recently releasing the album ‘Unlucky For Some’ on Bombis Records. With Daniel Mancini, he is one half of the production duo The Maersk Project, focusing on experimental techno while also working under the pseudonym ‘Eviltron’. As his new ‘Positive Hunger’ EP lands on Triangle Records, DMCWorld goes Trainspotting with Paul Donton.
Steve Bug & Herve Solar – No Faith, No Dreams – Sub.Release Music
Starting the chart off with a consistent producer who’s productions always land in the box. This builds and builds and is a real groover to set the tone.
BLNDR – Santal – Non Series
Driving, I can see a dance floor get locked into this relentless piece of techno; a new find for myself so will be checking more of their work.
Steve O’ Sullivan – wyrdd – Trip Recordings
Steve O’ Sullivan is another name consistently in my record box, love his productions. This offering on Trip Recordings is essential and the cuts are sublime. This track is the pick for me.
Rob Pearson & Paul Donton – Out Of Control – Bombis Records
One from my collaboration album with Rob Pearson, this is one of the strongest tracks and you will find out just why with it’s twisted Deep-Tech beats.
Mark Williams – A DJ’s Groove – Flux Recordings
You want some techno then look no further. Mark Williams with this chugger will get you in the mood alright. Banger!
Orlando Voorn – No Cellphones – Kompakt
Support for fellow label boss Orlando Voorn. This track was the one on Kompakt and the vocal interacting with the dance floor just gets the place going off! ‘No Cellphones’.
Bralle – Abattoir / Connor Wall Remix – Adversarial Machines
Another recent find, Connor Walls mix does it on this EP – Solid driving techno for when we want that on the menu.
Jay York – Ankh – Evilgroove Records
Another new find to mention – want to keep pulses racing on a fast paced Techno feel? This is one.
Mechanic Slave – KMKS / Samuel L Session Remix – Red Section
Another regular whose productions I enjoy. With Samuel L Session you know what you’re getting and it’s again very consistent, I cannot wait for his remix coming soon on our own label.
Orlando Voorn and Paul Donton – Fun Town Tribe – Triangle.Records
From our 2nd collaborative LP, this is one which got the creative minds fully flowing. Deep and moody with a rumbling bass line and all the essentials you want for a warehouse party.
Paul Donton ‘Positive Hunger’ EP lands on Triangle Records on March 31st 2025.
