Transpotting With Del-30

Del-30 is the alias of Huddersfield producer Gaz Kitcher, a name that’s become a fixture in the UK’s tougher strain of house. Since breaking through in 2016, his sound has landed on Toolroom, Solä and Under No Illusion, picking up heavyweight support from Green Velvet, Solardo and Joseph Capriati along the way. With a reputation built on stripped-back grooves and a raw, club-first energy, Del-30 keeps pushing forward while staying rooted in the underground. His latest cut is a remix of Chewna’s ‘All I Need’ on Sixteen Twenty Records, an imprint that will be dedicated to quality house music from some of the biggest global talents on the scene. With the remix out now, DMCWorld goes Trainspotting with Del-30.

DJ PP – Miami Vice (Rework) – PPMUSIC

I used to batter this gem of a record the first time round and now it found its way back into my collection again with this solid modern upgrade. Huge record!

Blair Suarez & Fletch – Past Love – Boogeyman

I keep finding myself playing this one. It sets the vibe just right and sneaks into mixes like it owns the place.

Brunello – The Clown’s Corridor – Mellow Circus

This horrible piece (in a good way) is one that I play almost every opportunity I get. Such a well put together track with a vocal that fits perfectly. Absolute fire and something I will play for a long time.

Brad Brunner, AG Swifty – Lay Back – Take Notes

A real naughty number which deserves to be grounded without pocket money for 2 weeks. Think that sums it up. Big track!

System 2 – Movin’ Edit – ZYX

Love this record, it reminds me of growing up and being absolutely gripped by those types of drums and basslines from an early age, layered with an old break, slapping in with a naughty Roland SH-101 type bass, accompanied by a hip hop vocal. Highly savage!

Maya Jane Cole – What They Say (Late Replies Edit) White

Late replies have been making absolute smokers for years. I find their material very consistent and always slaps in a set. These two are real artists. SNM.

DJ Bigga G – Mind, Body And Soul (4x4 Mix) – New Breed Audio

IYKYK, this one needs zero introduction. If you’re not familiar with this absolutely behemoth of a garage classic then you’re in for more than a treat.

Scrubfish – Back On The Block – Lutefisk
This one always gets the energy up when playing in a set. Whenever this drops, the room just spikes!

Aaron-Carl – Closer – (The Underground Experience) – Wallshaker Music

Aaron Carl may no longer be with us, but tracks like ‘Closer’ keep his spirit alive. Timeless, soulful, and still hitting harder than a Tyson body shot.

DJ’s Rule – Get Into The Music – Original Serious Mix (1990) – Hi-Bias Records

Finishing on memory lane with a track that takes me right back to nine years old where my journey first began, trying to sound good with bad speakers and dreams bigger than my bedroom. Those early vibes still sneak into every set I play.
