Hello! Nice to meet you too. We are a little bit tired after these past evenings that we spent playing in the clubs. But we are fine and ready for some good vibes.
Where in the world are you right now?
Actually, we are in Switzerland, more precisely in Zurich, one of the most important cities of the country. We live here, working and playing some music.
For those of our DMC readers that may be unfamiliar, please can you give yourself a quick intro?
Hello everyone! We are Patrick Vanto and Daniele Mancuso, two electronic music lovers and two friends sharing a passion for music. Three years ago, we started our new project called Vanto & Mancuso, to underline our connection, using our surnames as our stage name.
How would you describe your sound?
We always try to reach new sounds and go beyond our limits to explore new fields. We have different influences that depend on our feelings and emotions, so our sound is dynamic and fluid.
What were you doing before you decided to get into the world of music?
Music is a big passion, we met it when we were children and that flame never stops.
But we are not just music enthusiasts and producers, indeed, at the same time we are hard workers dedicated to our jobs.
Can you tell us a little bit about the Vanto & Mancuso project, and when you launched it?
It all started in 2016 when we met in a Music studio. From that moment we immediately understood that we think in the same way, both in production and DJ sets. This project led us until today, working non-stop on our music devotion.
What’s the vision for the next five years?
We are dreamers and ambitious, so our aim is to reach the main stages. We want to dedicate entirely ourselves to music and become a single thing. We want to breathe music everyday.
What sort of artists / styles of music are you inspired by?
We are inspired by many types and genres, because our music culture was built through many experiences of different music. But we have a guide, a path we can walk for our ideas, and we are talking about, for example, the Afterlife, Stil vor Talent and Drumcode labels. We also estimate so much and have as paradigm the big names of this music field as Ilario Alicante, Tale of us and Moonwalk.
Congratulations on your upcoming single release ‘Heart & Mind’ on PinkStar Black. Sonically, what can we expect?
You will hear a feeling. The idea was born during a summer evening in Italy in front of the majestic sea, which, you know, takes care of your thoughts. We were inspired by the waves, sometimes strong and sometimes very calm, so Heart & Mind came out almost naturally.
What’s the rest of 2021 looking like for you? Do you have any plans to hit the road and play some shows?
The pandemic was a bad luck for all of us. That’s the reason why we don’t know where this final shot of this weird year will lead us. We hope that we can come back on stage and let the music cheers us up. We are very optimistic, so we trust that this will happen soon.

Pandemic didn’t just bring misfortune. Indeed, we spent a lot of time in studio during the lockdown, so we produced so much, and we are ready to give our listeners some new good music. So, follow us for more!
