Holidaying in The Caribbean for the first time… Oh dear…
Good trip Mr DJ?
“Well I managed to get sun stroke in my villa garden, not sure what I’m doing here now. Ears and throat playing up from the plane, heat is crazy, really struggling – left all my t-shirts at home. So, in Windsor there’s a pile of T Shirts, all clean and folded, but they should be in Antigua with me. So if you hear of a tourist wandering around in a long sleeve formal shirt that’s… Well, that’s me. I put what I did have through the ‘next day’ laundry service; three days later still no sign of it. My friends, Marlene and Kema seem confident that I will see them again, but I can see it in their eyes that they haven’t got a clue where the laundry is! Also heard that Jocelyn (the housemaid) was seen in St John’s (the Capital) wearing what looked like a man’s formal shirt… Rained every day and at night – huge down pours. Night time and sleeping: They have these birds that during the hours of darkness make the sound of car alarms, there’s the other type that make the sound of a dog playing with a squeaky toy. At times sounds like a volcano going off; add the noise of the Air Con which sounds like a large truck starting up a road next to your hour house – and you’ve got my Caribbean holiday. Absolutely no sleep at all. Until 5.30 when the sun comes up and the birds pipe down.
Internet did not work for the first four days, but the electricity is good… only cuts out when its raining.
British C.I.D are in our hotel, for the murder of a tourist two years ago… Who they are going to hang this week…
So all is good.
Hope everyone at home is ok…
As they say in Antigua… “Me garn”
