AKG is to support the exclusive reading of German journalist Tobias Rapp’s Lost and Sound: Berlin, Techno and the Easyjetset at the Amsterdam Dance Event. Rapp will be reading a preview of the book at 9.00pm on 22nd October at new nightclub Trouw.

Praised by many German DJs and critics as one of the most informed and entertaining accounts of the unique Berlin techno scene, Rapp’s book has been a surprising crossover hit with the wider German public since its launch earlier this year. Lost and Sound explores Berlin’s rise as the unofficial capital of techno and has even coined a new phrase ‘the Easyjet set’ referring to the groups of music fans who – thanks to the deregulation of the European air travel market – now regard the aeroplane as a taxi service for parties, effectively making Barcelona, London and Paris suburbs of Berlin.

Rapp will be reading from the book using AKG professional equipment including microphones and speakers, which highlights the intrinsic link between cutting edge audio technology and the quality of music emanating from the world renowned, and inspiring, Berlin electronic music scene.

Lost and Sound is being translated into English in text for release in December. Rapp will also be doing further readings of the book in Paris in late November and London in early December.
