1) New York Broadcast
Diesel U Music Radio crossed the pond broadcasting for a whole 10 days from Diesel’s 5th Avenue store. The broadcast included shows from Arthurs Landing, Ryan Leslie, Phenomenal Handclap Band, Les Savy Fav, YACHT, Lightspeed Champion, Adam Green & Theophilus London.

2) Beyond the Wizards Sleeve
Erol Alkan & Richard Norris took over the studio for two hours showcasing their amazing prog side project.

3) La Roux & Nadia Ksaiba
La Roux joined Nadia Ksaiba in the studio for a special two hour show. Her hit single Bulletproof was put to test as La Roux critiqued Youtube covers posted online by fans.

4) Paul Thomson (Franz Ferdinand)
Joined us live in the studio for the 4th instalment of his program Red Tape.

5) Simian Mobile Disco Breakfast
Jas and James Ford of SMD woke up the DUM Radio listeners with a very special breakfast show (their 4th show for Diesel:U:Music Radio)

6) Vice Magazine with Andrew Weatherall
The legend that is Andrew Weatherall joined Vice magazine in the studio to talk psychedelics.

7) Dam Funk
With his album Toeachizown out fresh on Stones Throw Records, L.A’s Dam Funk brought a sack of records to the studio, a lot of reverb, and funked out the studio for a whole 2 hours, singing live he loved it so much to our delight he extended his show by an hour.

8) Panico / Paris Broadcast
Panico’s epic live set as part of the Paris Broadcast in May.

9) Showcases at Diesel U Music radio – Shacklewell Lane Studios
Showcases were a chance for Diesel U Music Radio to give bands a platform to perform live for an audience, with an amazing atmosphere and of course some free booze. This was broadcast LIVE on air. Bands from all over the world performed on our exclusive Friday night slots – here’s a breakdown of the best:

Duchess Says Showcase
A Bank Holiday special with Duchess Says, Black Lips, and Battant in attendance and all playing live, However Duchess Says stole the show with their screaming and crowd invasion.  
 
Radioclit showcase
The guys behind The Very Best hosting their own showcase with A.J Holmes & the Hackney Empire

Bananaklan Showcase
Hosted by Roots Manuva with the legend Dawn Penn playing live.
 
The Shhhhhh Showcases
A more subdued high brow version of the showcase – with Simon Bookish and his string quartet. With The Publicist, a one man drum machine with a lively strobe machine.

Sunday Best
Rob Da Banks label hosted their very own showcase with Kitty Daisy and Lewis, Lucky Elephant, Bastilla & Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip.
 
10) Strut Shows
With the likes of Z records, Grand Master Flash, Horsemeat Disco, Mulatu Astatke (Ethiopia), Strut’s weekly residency was a highlight of the May broadcast.
