Brian Cid’s masterclass in minimal structures sets the pulses racing providing dark, richly rewarding music that builds images of its own accord. Two originals feature here with the title track, ‘Hidden’ revealing a sumptuous funkiness found in the addictive percussion and commanding array of evolving sounds. Remixes come from Jon Charnis and from Nico Stojan who both re-tweak the elements while adding some of their own to alternative additions of the original. Finally, ‘Costa Verde’ sequences more tantalising bass across further irresistible percussion this time amid a sea of breathy, revolving atmospheres which prove again to be first-rate.
