Let’s put it like this: It’s great to listen to this record in a club, on a car stereo, even at home. But it really lights up when you play it open air, when the sound is rising into the open sky, towards the glistening stars or the golden glow of the sun. This infinite space is the perfect counterpart for the atmospheric density of this music. Just in time for the festival season on the Northern hemisphere Dole & Kom deliver some exquisite open air tunes.
Their new EP is deep and melodic, its character grown-up but playful and therefore sums up the sound of now quite perfectly. Mollono.Bass and Stephan Zovsky, who have big individual tracks and remixes out as well team up for a new joint venture named Greenlake Project. Together they present a very elegant, fluent remix of the main track ‘Blossom’ that is driven by an intense, yet understated groove. For me personally though, the best track of the four is ‘White Rose’, a sweet melodic track that has SUMMER written all over it! Try it out, you won’t be disappointed!
