Inspired by author Collin Kelley’s novel ‘Leaving Paris’ Vanessa Daou and composer James Willard aka Brokenkites have combined imagination to produce their own City Of Lights soundscape. The delicate, breathy words spell out a powerful evocation of the capital over the music which seeks to do likewise providing a sometimes haunting, sometimes yearning atmospheric backdrop, with the eventual splash of drums and bass adding further colour. A spellbinding piece of music that deserves your dedication.
