Premier running on empty – drum snaps, a deeply-blown brass loop and not much else. Shug, a meeker Kool G Rap clone, struggles to convince, leaving dead air at the end of bars, and doing his darnedest to get by flogging dumb punchlines (“you like Mario, you don’t wanna know”) that fully show up the weak nature of his battle jabs.
