DARK MONKS
WISHING
PHONETIC

Take a Bond girl from the ‘70s, an iconic ‘80s pop song made by that nameless bloke with the weird hairstyle and a pair of new millennium clubbers… and this is what ya get. After their club smash ‘Insane’ the Dark Monk’s return with vocalist Sonia D, a girl of many talents including making Roger Moore’s eyebrows raise in Live And Let Die. The song in question, Wishing (I Had A Photograph Of You)’, originally a huge transatlantic smash from the Flock Of Seagulls’ in 1982, whilst perhaps not the most obvious of tracks to cover and club up, does translate fairly well. With Phonetics’ razor-sharp and proven A&R policy who are we to argue.
