Could’ve also been subtitled ‘If Ain’t Broke, Don’t Fix It’. Again, Format’s all about the honky-tonk guitar loops and funk riffs laying down the lino, ‘Black Cloud’ the only noticeable departure looking for much moodier shores. The more he continues to make the most of Abdominal’s good-natured elasticity, the more you think they should become an official duo in the classic MC-DJ mould, although countryman D-Sisive justifying his invite and J5’s Chali 2na & Akil reprising their ‘Mature B-Boy’ role, steal their share of the show. Format’s slogan is bound to have new fan club members flocking.
