What we’ve got here is 5 remixed tracks from DJ Format’s album ‘If You Can’t Join ‘m’Beat ‘m”, plus a brand new cut “Talkin, Trash” which features Canada’s D-sisive rockinâ the joint over very funky guitar licks & badass breaks. The EP opens with Connie Price & The Keystones getting to grips with ‘The Turning Point’, which ends up like an out there low budget 70’s soundtrack. Fingathing do their double bass thang on ‘Separated At Birth’, plucking their way around big’n’boxy drums. Little Barrie give ‘Another One Of Those Songs’ a live feel, while over on the flip DJ Format goes for round two with ‘Iâm Good’, & Nostalgia 77 turn ‘Black Cloud’ into a full on smokey jazz number, which brings us back to the badass new cut. It don’t get much funkier than this.
