I have been into this stateside record label for the last four years or so, and everytime I get new music from them I know it’s gonna be something special! This new single from DL is just that. It’s like the record you know is missing from current DJ sets. Its piano led groove is backed with a banging beat and funky vocal sample. DL raps with bags of confidence and ‘City Pride’ is a track that could do massive things if it was on a major label. If you like Pete Rock, Little Brother, Slum Village and Da La Soul then you will have this track on repeat in every CD player in ya house! DL does it with pride so please jump up and down man because there’s a new anthem in town!
