Despite being the glue to which his stellar UK cast stick, EE seems happier for his emcee formation to bicker about limelight space while his beat neatness for ‘nodders – big on aligning slim, lithe loops with boom-bap punch – spins out back. Redeyed Jehst and cross-bandito Yungun are sent out armed with strummers, The Colony and Lost Souls come out on top with their near-the-knuckle knowledge, and spots from Aussie A-Love, nut jobs Probe Mantis & Junior Disprol and a six-way posse cut bring home the bacon for what, it’s easy to forget, is Ed’s solo party.
