HUNDRED STRONG
BASEMENT BLUES
ALTERED VIBES

Victor Davies and Joseph Malik drop by the Bristol basement of experienced hip-hop crypt-keeper Ben Dubuisson, for a triple dose of taste-the-difference soul (check the large riffin’ ‘Once More’), going down

well with the big willy funk ‘Hardcore Poetry’ and ‘Odeon’, refining the usual beats-by-Bollywood insert. Under-using Task Force for ‘Life’s Beat Me’ and doing a few too many label-mate deals with the Def Harmonic crew (Jason Todd and Lunaversol9, both together and separately) make the going heavier,

though HS does set them off with fitting astrophysical bouncers. Overall, sound work from the cellar.
