KANYE WEST
TOUCH THE SKY
ROC-A-FELLA

Though the divisive politics of Hip Hop have Kanye pegged as either the very best or very worst thing going, you can’t deny that nobody else could have gotten away with a track that samples something so obvious as to be almost untouchable – the refrain from Curtis Mayfield’s ‘Move On Up’. Of course, in these hands, its solid pop gold and you can only hand it to him, pikey as this particular theft may be. Just Blaze puts the polish on the fourth single from the ‘Late Registration’ album and though Kanye’s rhymes are some of the weakest from the album, but the verse from Lupe Fiasco is pretty cute – dude sounds like fellow West cohort Consequence, too – which is nice!
