To the sound of stammered jangling, ‘Float On’ being scuffed by a two-bob needle, steady-eddy LL doggedly doesn’t botch his lines in joining the long queue let down by hip-hop’s current state. Acknowledging the nitty-gritty and summarising with an open-minded chorus, ‘No Foundation’ sends out the right signals without preaching. Yam Who come correct with a hearty freaky-soul flip.
