Butter New York Curt Cazal production, suede Timbs and baggy jeans swagger with a Grand Central finish, is undone by his & Qball’s unaffecting and uniquely un-dynamic go-slow. Offering a moderate analysis of the current state of the game and hunts for honeys (‘Polaroid Dimepiece’ subtly recreating Run DMC’s ‘Peter Piper’), the pair dish out “more problems than Ally McBeal” while repping from “Dover to Aberdeen”, but then mismanage their guest appearances by letting Dimes take over ‘Streets Don’ Run’ and wrongly advertising MOP for the title track. Good, but only half the finished article.
