Taken from the mixtape with the same title, this track from 17 year old Midland’s rapper Reload is more than what you would expect from a debut. Coming with a deep dense flow and the lyrical capacity of a young Nas or Cormega, Reload glides over the solid production with ease and professionalism. I love the humbleness and sincerity of this rapper and I think his own lyrics sum him up well ‘an inner city poet out spittin’ for the youth/a ghetto kid, I spit flames when I’m in the booth’. With appearances on mixtapes in the UK and US, A&R’s better be ready for what could be the next big thing. Reload is definitely gonna be a man to watch this year and next, UK stand up!
