Here he is, battering down the doors and senses to show just how this mix album malarkey should be done. Maximum energy and impact from the off, past and present corkers mixed live in one sitting. Coincinding with the huge, annual I Love Techno event being held this year in Ghent in November, Dave celebrates hosting one of the seven rooms with 20 barnstorming tracks covering all current electronic bases. The maelstrom kicks off with Smith & Selway’s aptly-titled ‘Coming Storm’ before taking in killers from names including Substance & Vanqueur, Joey Beltram, Speedy J, DJ 3000, T. Linder and the intriguing Detroit’s Own DJ Surgeon with ‘Electro Bass Head’. There’s unreleased Advent and Rob Gibson here too, all cut, slice and diced with high-tension skill almost frightening to behold. On top of his game, few have ever come close to Dave Clarke, but don’t forget the seat-belt.
