How I Became The Bomb are spearheading a movement already being tagged as the New Nashville. Their own particular brand of oddball pop is cute but complex, ‘Bar Song’ boasts an irresistible hooky chorus full of self doubt. ‘You think you’re so much better than me, suddenly I’m drunk and you’re not, you think that I have just forgot’. It’s one of those most regrettable moments, and yes we’ve all been there. Over on the flip you’ll find ‘Robo’, another upbeat shoegazing extravaganza which brings elements of Devo and The Cure to mind. How I Became The Bomb are back in the UK in October & November, doing a series of live shows around the release of their mini album ‘Let’s Go!’. Make sure you catch ‘em, you won’t be disappointed, and you’ll get the chance to see how a shimmy is properly done.
