Without seeing the film, it’s obvious that the guitar strummed from the clouds marks the page in Coach Carter’s playbook where the star player has to look at life beyond basketball. Twista starting every sentence with ‘I Wish’ flips Skee-Lo’s blueprint with some worldly perspective beyond being short, Faith Evans’ gospel-themed hook guiding the three-point shot to beat the buzzer.
