A record that needs little by way of introduction: ‘Intro’ the theme tune to the summer 2000, was once a subtle instrumental with soul-iced harmonies ‘borrowed’ from the Jets ‘Crush On You’ that sat atop a killer bassline not heard of such memorable proportions since ‘Another One Bites The Dust’. Now Hed Kandi resident Ryan Stent and Paul Whitehead reawaken the sleeping beast with a contemporary mix that fuses Latin warmth over a driving piano-layered groove that adds even more bite to a record that’s already guaranteed to rock any dancefloor. Let’s hope this currently DJ only mix will soon fully see the light. Viva la Gaelic house-disco!
