2004’s ‘Waltz Of A Ghetto Fly’ certainly established Amp Fiddler, putting him firmly on the musical map. So this eagerly awaited rather smart 10” of ‘Hope’ & ‘Dope’, does get the juices flowing as a taster for the new album. ‘Hope’ is soulful deep house, slightly gospel with a Balearic twist. However on the flip the aptly titled ‘Dope’, comes over like Marvin Gaye caught up in a Brixton pea souper. Lord praise the weed.
